Well organized wiki page. i have noticed that you have mentioned audacity tool for audio editing. we are in the process of of doing some audio recording for English exams and some of our staff are recommending that we go with audacity.. Any recommendation on this software or any other software for audio recording.

Yeah, well down at ADMC they use Audacity (free) to record their listening exams (Paul Rawcliff is in charge of the equipment). I've also used it at CERT (MLP & ADNOC) and ADWC.

It's really quite easy. Set up a couple of mics (plugged into the back of a Coomber) and stick it into the USB of a PC. Then run the Audacity software. If you have a quiet room, it comes out quite well. You should really ask pbutler as I believe she is going to be doing something like this for her project.

Verdict: Painless and professional.

You really have a name thing happening, don't you? Arthur, Phil, Liosmor, Lismore....any more we should know about?
I lived in Lismore in Northern NSW, Australia briefly many years ago, boy did it flood there!
